Momentous Neurofeedback
A neurofeedback practice site that explains the treatment before it asks for the booking

Momentous Neurofeedback needed a mobile-first, server-rendered site for a treatment most prospective clients have never heard of. The build was structured in phases with the brand token system and typography locked before any page content was written.
Neurofeedback has an explanation problem. Someone arrives at the site having heard the word once, unsure whether it is medicine, therapy, or something less rigorous. A site that opens with a booking button skips the only question the visitor actually has.
The brief
What the engagement had to deliver
Momentous Neurofeedback came to us with a clear set of outcomes rather than a page count. Everything below was agreed before design started.
- Explain an unfamiliar treatment clearly enough that a skeptical visitor keeps reading
- Build mobile-first, because health searches happen on a phone
- Ship server-rendered and SEO-ready from the shell rather than retrofitting it
- Lock the brand token system and typography before any content is built
Key challenges
What made this build harder than a template
- Clinical credibility and approachability pull in opposite directions, and the copy has to hold both
- The treatment has to be explained without overclaiming, which rules out most of the language the category uses
- Mobile-first for a content-heavy explanatory site means the reading experience has to survive a small screen
- The token system had to be settled before content, so every later phase inherited it rather than negotiating it
Our approach
How we built it
The build ran as a strict phase sequence with the stack, tokens and typography verified in phase zero before a single page of content existed. That order matters on a site where the design has to feel calm, because retrofitting a token system onto built pages is how visual drift happens. Content is structured to answer the unfamiliarity problem first: what the treatment is, what a session involves, what it does and does not claim. The booking action is present throughout but never leads, because asking for the appointment before answering the question loses the visitor who was closest to converting.

Common questions
Questions about the Momentous Neurofeedback build
How should a clinic website introduce a treatment most people have not heard of?
By answering the unfamiliarity first. What it is, what a session actually involves, and what it does not claim. A booking button placed before that answer converts the visitor who was already sold and loses everyone else.
Why build a health site mobile-first?
Because health questions get asked on a phone, usually at an inconvenient hour. Designing for desktop and shrinking it produces a mobile experience that technically works and practically does not.
Why lock a design token system before writing page content?
Because tokens applied afterward never fully take. Pages built without a system accumulate one-off spacing and color decisions that quietly become the real design, and unwinding that is more expensive than starting with it.

Surgical Medicine
Ascend Surgical Alliance
Ascend Surgical Alliance is a metabolic health and anti-reflux surgical practice in Colorado. SpinFlow built the practice a custom server-rendered website that speaks to patients and referring physicians on separate paths, without a template and without a page builder.
Telehealth
StemVera Health
StemVera Health is a Denver telehealth practice. The build began from an intentionally opinion-free scaffold so that every architectural and visual decision was made against the actual brand rather than inherited from a template that happened to be there first.
Senior Services
Compass Senior Transitions
Compass Senior Transitions helps seniors find placement and sell the home they are leaving. The site had to carry an existing print identity into digital and, more importantly, had to feel trustworthy to an adult child making a hard decision on a parent's behalf.
